Hi Everyone,

Westminster Schools will host our next AATE meeting on Friday, November 13, and we have an exciting agenda filled with timely, practical sessions designed to spark ideas you can use right away.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Leah Carmichael, Executive Director of Active Learning at the University of Georgia, as our keynote speaker. Her keynote, What Is Worth Learning Now: Active Learning, AI, and the K–16 Connection, will explore how AI is challenging educators to reconsider what is most important for students to learn—and how active learning can help ensure students continue to do the meaningful work of thinking, practicing, and creating.

Plan to arrive at 9:00 a.m. for optional Innovation Lab Tours across Westminster’s Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. It will be a wonderful opportunity to see learning spaces and programs in action before our formal program begins at 10:00 am.

Throughout the day, breakout sessions will explore topics including faculty community and collaboration, student-led media and innovation, AI and the humanities, human-centered design thinking, experiential learning, student innovation fellows, AI-assisted coding, and emerging technology trends. We will also have time for conversation and connection with fellow technology and innovation leaders from across the Atlanta area.

Please complete your registration promptly to help us make arrangements for the day.

We look forward to seeing you at Westminster on November 13!

Warmly,

Connie White

AATE President
